- Project implemented in year three of the City of Ottawa’s water main rehabilitation plan
- Successful installation of Aqua Pipe™ structural liner and project completion on schedule and under budget
Feedback
- CWW’s structural relining methodology was favoured over open cut pipe replacement
- Neighbourhood streets remained useable throughout project
- Significantly shorter timeframe than conventional dig and replace methods
Project Elements
- Installation, maintenance and removal of a temporary water system serving 350 residents in three separate neighbourhoods
- Complete relining of 5,490 linear metres of water main ranging in size from 150 mm to 300 mm
- Hydrant and valve replacement throughout

- Water mains were rehabilitated in the following locations:
- The Heron Park neighbourhood in Ottawa between Clover Street and Falcon Street south of Heron Road and north of Brookfield Street
- Grey Nuns Drive in Orleans between Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and St. Joseph Boulevard
- Orient Park Drive in Orleans between Innes Road to 1,100 metres south
